This life-like sphere showcases the craters and surface textures of the Moon in striking detail, creating a magical atmosphere, especially when it lights up after sunset. Nestled between the buildings of the charming Piarista köz, it has quickly become one of the most photogenic spots in the city.
Seeing the Moon up close is both playful and inspiring: it brings within arm’s reach a celestial body we usually only admire through telescopes. While it is an impressive sight during the day, its real charm shines at night, when it glows against the dark sky.
Piarista köz itself is more than just a side street – it’s a hidden walkway in one of Budapest’s busiest areas. Just steps away from the Danube, Váci Street, and the Elisabeth Bridge, it is the perfect detour.
And there is more to come: soon, a brand-new surprise connected to the Moon will be revealed. Organizers are preparing an additional experience that will bring this mysterious celestial body even closer to visitors.
